From the forums: Galaxy Nexus OEM Desktop Dock
Patient British Galaxy Nexus owners have finally reached a once far away moment. OEM accessories for the device are starting to appear at retailers such as Clove Technology. One such patient Nexus owner is nhuth? from the Android Central forums. The precious Desktop Dock has just shown up in the mail, and nhuth ?was good enough to share with us a couple of photos of the item along with a quick first impression.
I preordered the Galaxy Nexus desktop dock and vehicle dock from Clove.co.uk back in February and just received my desktop dock today. All that was in the box was the dock itself and quick-start guide. There are no cables included. The Galaxy Nexus fits in smoothly with a nice, quality feel. The pins work just as I would have hoped. Out back is a micro USB port and 3.5mm audio jack. Unlike the Nexus One dock, no bluetooth is included. So, there is no way to control your music with the phone out of the dock. The connection is solely through the three-pin connection.
Sounds like a bit of a mixed bag. A quality item, but functionality limited a little to what it might have been. Either way, we're glad to see these items are starting to appear in peoples hands. If anyone else has recently taken delivery of the same dock, let us know your own thoughts in the comments below.
?Thanks nhuth!

Nominated for Best Foreign Film at the 2012 Academy Awards, Agnieszka Holland's IN DARKNESS, is the poor man's SCHINDLER'S LIST, and I mean that as a high compliment. Now don't get me wrong. I think Spielberg made a masterpiece with his Shoah epic, but Holland earns astute emotions and mines similar themes yet in a more intimate setting. Based on the true story of a Polish sewer worker who charged a small group of Jewish refugees a daily fee to squat in the filthy sewers beneath the city. The title of the film is apt, as so much of it takes place in utter darkness. At almost two and a half hours in length, we feel every minute of their intensely long hiding. Like Schindler, our main character, Leopold Socha, played wonderfully by Robert Wieckiewicz, is an opportunist rather than a Jewish sympathizer. In fact, his anti-semitism is much more overt than Schindler's. On the other hand, his wife Wanda, an incredible Kinga Preis, is much more liberal at the outset, but wants to turn her back on the Jews when she fears for her life and that of her family. Their story is so searing, so vivid and unsentimental. It's no wonder I was more drawn to it than to the lives of the various Jews here. While all terrific actors who are given one horrifying scene after another to endure, their plight isn't as layered as that of Socha. There is one exception, and it's played by Benno Furmann, who is the love child of a Patrick Wilson/Josh Lucas bromance. Playing a man who leaves the sewers to escape INTO a concentration camp to save someone's life, he has leading man written all over her face. He easily commands the screen in all of his scenes. One of my all-time favorite critics, Roger Ebert, dismissed this film by saying that we've seen it all before. As much as I respect his opinion, I disagree. Usually films about this period in history tend to glorify the Jewish characters and they make every moment epic. IN DARKNESS does just the opposite. The Jews are just as flawed as any other characters here, as flawed as anybody would be when facing unreal, desperate circumstances. This is not a hyped up film. Something as simple as rainfall becomes an exciting action sequence, but it's played with an ingenious, dispassionate touch that Holland has always brought to her work.

Screen Grabs: Are agents on Fringe flashing their Google Wallet?
Screen Grabs chronicles the uses (and misuses) of real-world gadgets in today's movies and TV. Send in your sightings (with screen grab!) to screengrabs at engadget dot com.
We're not sure exactly what the FBI's standard issue kit consists of, but we imagine it has more than a few bits of secret tech. These screen grabs from this week's Fringe, however, would have us believe that the rogue agents like to pick up their tabs with what looks like Google Wallet. We can clearly see a Sprint-branded Galaxy Nexus being used to for a not-so-undercover financial transaction. At least it looks like the agents might have had an upgrade since we last saw them around these parts.
Update: As many of you have pointed out, there was something wrong with our own intel on this case, and it wasn't one of the agents using the service. Perhaps the bureau isn't comfortable with e-wallets just yet.
[Thanks, Te-je]

All sorts of animals can now be domesticated. Some have unusual ones like pigs while others have wild ones like snakes. But a dog is still one of the favorites. Many people still consider pooches as their favorite animals. And they have a lot of reasons why they often say ?I love dogs?:
? Man?s best friend-cainines are called man?s best friend for a variety of reasons. These pooches are said to be very loyal pets. They are empathetic and would always want to comfort you when you are feeling sad and blue. A dog is really loyal to his owner.

Yet you still have to think well before deciding to get dogs. There are certain things you have to do to maintain them like the regular baths, trips to the vet, immunization shots and of course feeding. There are some dog breeds that are very low maintenance but there are those that would require a lot of care and attention. So before getting one, try to think if it would really suit you and your lifestyle.

BELGRADE, Serbia (AP) ? Former ultranationalist allies of Slobodan Milosevic may return to power in Serbia, 12 years after the late Balkan strongman was ousted by pro-Western forces seeking European Union membership.
The first-round vote on Sunday for president, and votes for a 250-seat national assembly and local councils pit pro-EU democrats against nationalists who have gained in popularity with the EU's own economic troubles, which have dimmed the bloc's allure for many Serbs.
The two leading contenders are the Democratic Party of Boris Tadic ? who had been president until he resigned so the triple vote could be held together ? and Milosevic's former ally Tomislav Nikolic, whose right-wing populist Serbian Progressive Party has Russia's support, though he has lately claimed a shift toward the EU.
The eventual outcome could determine whether Serbia abides by EU-demanded economic and social reforms after being an isolated pariah nation under Milosevic in the 1990s because of his warmongering ? or turns to its traditional Slavic ally Russia instead.
It also will show whether Serbia continues to reconcile with its neighbors and wartime foes of the Balkan conflicts, including the former province of Kosovo, which declared independence in 2008.
Recent polls have suggested that the pro-EU camp slightly trails the nationalist bloc in the parliamentary race, but with the democrats having better chances of persuading smaller parties to form the next coalition government ? just as they did after the previous elections four years ago.
A presidential runoff is expected on May 20, as both Tadic and Nikolic are unlikely to get more than 50 percent of the first round vote that includes 12 candidates.
In March, Tadic led Serbia's bid to gain EU candidate status, which was conditional on the arrests of fugitive war crimes suspects Ratko Mladic and Radovan Karadzic. His government turned over the two wartime Bosnian Serb leaders to a U.N. tribunal in the Netherlands to face genocide charges for their part in the 1992-95 Bosnian war.
However, Tadic's popularity among Serbs has fallen because of the country's economic downturn. Faced with the global financial crisis, which slowed down much needed foreign investments, his government has seen massive job losses and plummeting living standards.
Nikolic has gained the support among voters for criticizing widespread social injustice and corruption, and for promising jobs, financial security and billions of dollars in foreign investments if he and his party win the elections.
Recent claims by Nikolic ? who has narrowly lost two consecutive presidential votes against Tadic ? that he has shifted from being staunchly anti-Western to pro-EU are not taken at face value by many Serbs, as well as by Western officials.
The former far-right politician, who is a self-declared "Russia lover," only a few years ago said that he would rather see Serbia become a Russian province than an EU member, and has hailed Mladic and Karadzic as "Serbian heroes."
"Of course I had to change, I've been a politician for 22 years," said Nikolic, nicknamed "Toma the Gravedigger" for running a cemetery in the 1980s. "The people of Serbia have changed," he said during the campaign.
Nikolic, who has split from the ultranationalist Serbian Radical Party, was in Milosevic's government during the violent crackdown against Kosovo Albanian separatists in 1999 that prompted NATO to bombard Serbia for 78 days until Milosevic pulled his troops out of the province.
Tadic told a campaign rally this week that "those who have shamed us" must not be allowed to govern Serbia. He said the voters have a choice to continue with "progress and development" or risk "the uncertainty."
Polls indicate Nikolic would not be able to come to power without the help of a small conservative party led by former president and prime minister Vojislav Kostunica, which is staunchly anti-EU and promises ?10 billion ($13 billion) in Russian "development loans" if Serbia turns to Moscow instead.
Tadic has had the support of the Socialists, the party founded by Milosevic in the 90's, but which has now switched to a pro-EU stance. The Socialists, who are likely to become kingmakers by placing third in the vote, have been noncommittal about which side they will support after the elections.
Milosevic died in his prison cell during his U.N. war crimes trial in 2006.

A Short Note On Structured Debt Settlement | Structured Settlement ...
If an organization is responsible for any injury or death of a person, then that organization may provide regular payment to that person or family members of the deceased person over a period of time. This process is known as structured settlement. This is a process of providing compensation to the victim in the form of installment payments instead of a lump sum amount. In case you have faced injury due to the malpractice of an organization, you can become eligible for a structured debt settlement to compensate for your financial costs (due to the injury) and financial loses.
Understanding the process of structured settlement
Structured settlement involves payment in parts which is done over a period of time through an annuity system. The victim or the family members of the deceased (in case of death) may file a case against the organization (that is responsible) for the damage done. The issue can be resolved (by the organization) by offering a structured debt settlement to the claimant. To obtain structured settlement, the claimant must drop the case that is filed against the organization. It should be done before the case is taken to the court.
Cases in which structured settlement is applicable:
- In case of serious injury, that will require long-term medical treatment.
- Inability to work due to the injury or the inability to earn the same level of money that the person used to earn before.
- In case of death of a person where his/her family members will be in need of a regular income.
- Disability caused by the injury (temporary or permanent) which may call for a long recovery period.
The benefits of structured settlement
Severe injuries or death are intensely traumatic. They can make the situation worse by calling for massive financial trouble. Structured settlement can be a solution to at least the financial problems. You can take care of the medical debts and other forms of debts (as a result of the injury) by receiving structured debt settlement. Given below are the benefits of structured settlement:
1.) Financial security can be obtained ? Through the process of structured settlement, you?ll be getting regular payments over a period of time instead of one lump sum amount. It would give you a sense of financial security as a regular flow of income will come your way.
2.) Freedom from tax liability ? You?d not be required to pay any tax for the money received through structured settlement. This is indeed an advantageous feature of this method.
3.) Court hassles can be avoided ? Court involvement will call for a lot of costs from both the defendant?s and claimant?s end. The defendant party would often prefer to offer a structured settlement to avoid the hassles and charges of the court. It would be beneficial for you as well because you can eliminate court costs and receive a regular flow of payment. It will spare you of the need to go to the court whenever called for.
Structured settlement has its share of disadvantages as well. In case of senior citizens, this may not be a good plan due to life expectancy. It would be better for them to receive a lump sum amount with which they can live their life according to their wishes. In other cases, a lump sum amount can be more beneficial as it can be used to make more through investment or other money making medium.
Nevertheless, structured settlement can be a good way to ensure a regular flow of income. You can get rid of your debts caused by the injury with the help of this structured debt settlement.

Kevin Federline Sued For Slobbery, Back Rent
Kevin Federline has never been one for personal hygiene. Or earning potential.
A new lawsuit drives both of these points home. His former landlord claims K-Fed trashed his L.A. mansion, then screwed him out of rent money.
Joseph Malek claims Britney Spears' ex moved in to his mansion in Tarzana, Calif., in 2008, wrecked the place and peaced out without paying a dime.
After seven months, no less. Somehow not a surprising story.
Malek claims he turned the place into a cigarette-riddled, spit-stained dump, replete with broken smoke detectors and bottles littered all over the yard.
Class guy, that Kevin.
He previously claimed K-Fed caused more than $110,000 in damage to the place by merely existing there, and wants a judge to force him to pay.
Maybe he's saving up for a vasectomy?

Galaxy S III vs. Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy S II: what's changed?
We're here live at Samsung's unveiling of the Galaxy S III and while it was going on, we furiously built this chart to see how the biggest phone of the year stacks up against its two progenitors. Here's some trivia: that 4.8-inch display is 22 percent bigger than the Galaxy S II's, but its overall dimensions only grew by 16 percent. If you're interested in those sort of details, then after the break is where you need to be.
