Lung cancer in children cannot be detected easily. They are also quite difficult to handle as the children?s lungs are underdeveloped. They do not have distinct symptoms for lung cancer. The first symptom is exhaustion. The child tends not to play outside with friends. Frequent wheezing, cough, cold are common symptoms of any child and the worst thing is that, these are also the symptoms of lung cancer. The main cause for lung cancer for child is due to passive smoking. There may be also other reasons such as exposure to radon, and asbestos slabs. Though we can prevent lung cancer to a maximum extent, we cannot completely eradicate. The main reason is our environment. We have polluted it so much that the eradication of lung cancer is completely impossible. As a parent it is our responsibility to give child a healthy life. One should try to give a clean environment, healthy food that consists of clean unpolluted vegetables and fruits. Thus preventive measures and periodic checkup has to be done to prevent a child from lung cancer.
